The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the formation process used by the Catholic Church in response to non-Catholics interested in Catholicism. Most parishes conduct weekly session intended to help the participants come to a better understanding of not only the beliefs but also the practices of the Catholic Church. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and to advance at their own pace. Initial participation does not commit anyone to becoming a Catholic. All are welcome.
