Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) Coordinator

Catholic Charities has an opening for the position of RCA Coordinator for the Tennessee Office for Refugees Department.  This position is full-time, 8AM to 4:30PM, based at the St. Mary Villa office of Catholic Charities of Tennessee at 30 White Bridge Road in West Nashville.

Responsible for the overall administration of the RCA program, including the supervision of staff, ability to interpret policy for enrollment staff, and the preparation of accurate, timely reports on recipients of RCA.

Education/Experience:

• Masters degree in a related field preferred

• Bachelors in a related field with at least four years of relevant work experience required

• Prefer experience working in refugee services field or in public benefits program

• Knowledge of the field of refugee resettlement or the administration of public benefit programs helpful

Other Skills or Requirements:

• Supervision and program management experience critical

• Ability to interpret and adhere to established policies and procedures

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, internet research and a high comfort level in working with computer systems

• Must exercise good judgment, courtesy, and tact in dealing with the public.

• Must have knowledge of and the ability to adhere to confidentiality standards

• Must be able to focus on details and ensure accuracy in reporting and giving information

• Must be cordial in working under pressure and/or meeting deadlines

• Ability to follow tasks through to completion

• Must be able to work well both independently as well as part of a team

• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel out of town (in-state) as needed
