Principal
St. Vincent de Paul School, located at
1704
Heiman Street in Nashville, has an opening for the
position of Principal. This position is full-time, 40
hours/week, Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. with some after hours activities.
Primary functions of this position are to
manage and plan for school’s financial resources and
school development; provide an orderly school climate;
provide opportunities for spiritual growth for students
and faculty; create an environment that promotes the
faith and moral development of the school community;
conduct staff development programs; evaluate and
supervise faculty, staff, students, and the
instructional program; provide leadership in curriculum
development; work collaboratively with diocesan and
parish groups especially in areas of governance.
Overall role is to be the educational administrator and
catechetical leader of the school.
Qualifications:
-
Masters Degree in
Educational Administration or Curriculum
(Masters Degree in a related field may be
considered)
-
Minimum of five years of
experience as a teacher or administrator
-
Up to five years of
supervisory experience as an administrator
Other Skills or
Requirements:
-
Roman Catholic in good
standing
-
Prefer candidate with
experience in recruiting and fund raising

Good communication,
interpersonal, and organizational skills
-
Excellent writing,
spelling, speaking, and analytical skills

Basic computer/internet
skills required
