Calvary Cemetery

General Laborer 

The Diocese of Nashville has an opening for an “as needed” General Laborer. This position is needed on an “on call” basis and will work at Calvary Cemetery located at 1001 Lebanon Rd. in Nashville. Hours would be between Monday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Primary functions of this position are to perform heavy, physical labor working out of doors shoveling dirt; setting up, taking down, or moving tents; relocating chairs and greens; laying plywood to make paths for backhoe and dump truck; and assisting with placements within the mausoleum and columbarium.  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be Roman Catholic

• Must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license

• Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

• Must be reliable and able to successfully pass a criminal background screening
